Pup of Haste

This is the main character to my story: The Pup of Haste Subashi. If the story was at least decently good, I would give you the link. But it’s badly written, so…XD

So his name is Subashi! 8D

He’s a Summoning Spirit that looks like a Shibu Inu! ;3 And as you can see, he has the same symbol that the Rabbit of Haste has (except for him, it‘s on his chest)! 8D

Yeah…not much to say. XD But curse those paws! Cuuuuurse theeeeem! DX

His power is to caste haste on others, which makes them go faster (if you guys have played the Final Fantasy games, or such, I think you can recognize the spell “Haste”? ;3). The next few paragraphs explain the storyline behind his past (so you don’t have to read the actual icky story, and you can just read this long Summary instead . XD). If you don’t want to read it, skip to the *counts down* 5th paragraph (more like sentence. XD)! Not counting this one. ;3

The ACTUAL storyline to the Subashi Story (since I had the change it for the project we were making our stories for), is that there was only one Summoning Spirit of Haste (cause most Summoning Spirits have elemental powers, such as fire and ice), which was The Rabbit of Haste. She was a Summoning Spirit who was chosen by the Goddess to provide the world‘s haste, (the people, called Magic Users, in their world are different from Humans, so they run faster than average humans 8’D). But from doing so, and because she was the only one to keep the “Haste” in balance, she used up a lot of her energy/magic energy very often, yet she continued her job. After she finally understood she wouldn’t be able to provide the world’s haste if she had no energy left at all (and instead of three years, it took her only a few days to realize this. XD), she went to the goddess to explain her situation, but the Goddess didn’t know what to do since there weren’t any others who could take her job while she rested. So determined to rest, not only to make things better for herself, but also so the world wouldn’t go without haste if she did run out of power, she went out to the Living World to find someone else who could take her place.

And then there was little Subashi, who lived with a woman named “Mrs. Yuka” since his parents died three years before. Subashi had a little stray Shiba Inu friend he named “Shiba” and he visited the puppy every other day to feed him and play with him. One day, he found The Rabbit of Haste (though he didn’t know she was the Rabbit of Haste) injured in the forest, and he brought her back to health (unlike what happened in the story, she didn’t attempt to attack him. But she was a bit wary at first).They spent a few days together, until one day Subashi found Shiba half-dead. Subashi tried to save the puppy, but he couldn’t, so it died. He was extremely devastated, but then that was when the Rabbit of Haste finally revealed herself by first sending Shiba’s soul and body to the Goddess, and then by talking to Subashi. She explained who she was, and her situation. And then she explained how she wanted him to become the Summoning Spirit of Haste, because of how kind-hearted, loyal, and determined he was. Subashi wanted to help people (since he wasn’t able to help Shiba) so he agreed. The Rabbit of Haste disappeared to “rest” and right after she left, Subashi was transformed into his Summoning Spirit form.

He couldn’t be an actual Summoning Spirit, since he had to be dead to become one, so his job was to just use his power to help others until he died (nice, right? XD). A giant (and I mean GIANT) beast/monster/demon later came and was destroying the town using the force field around it. Subashi was able to show the Leader the monster before it came to the village, so the Leader tried to evacuate the villagers. Subashi helped by casting Haste on them, and when he realized that the only way to destroy the monster was to break through it’s barrier (cause once something broke the barrier, it would implode and anything inside the barrier would be destroyed), he tried to use his speed to break through the barrier, and he was able to, but it cost him his life.

And then finally, the Goddess made him the official Summoning Spirit of Haste! 8D A few years later, the Goddess found out a way to balance the World’s Haste without Subashi’s help. So she decided give him the chance to form a pack with Summoners so one could use him. :3 Years after that, he formed a pack with Mizuki, and became one of her Summoning Spirits.

So yeah! I love Subashi’s design! 8D Whenever he castes Haste, the jewel on his forehead glows. X3 Yush!
