Poketale - Yellow

Description

YEP I did a Eeveelution series for the six souls! Finally here's the yellow soul, who really satisfies me design-wise. QwQ Their headcanon list is also the longest for some reason. xD

Now that the series is finished, which soul color do you relate to the most (doesn't have to be for the character/design, can also just be for the trait!)?? Do tell!

Poketale Headcanons (available on each soul's image):

  • The Poketale verse’ kinda works like the Mystery Dungeon games, where pokemon replace humans as the advanced inhabitants of the world. They have their own technology, civilizations, etc.
  • Lore-wise, Eevees and the Eeveelutions were greater in number compared to other species of pokemon. In time, Eeveekind and the other ‘mons grew apart and eventually a rift formed, throwing the two sides into war. Using the power of seven different Eeveelutions, Eeveekind then banished the other ‘mons underground.
  • Eeveekind can be bipedal, quadrupedal, or both (in which they can switch between walking on four feet or two feet). Chara, for example, learned how to walk bipedally after they were taken in by the Dreemurrs.
  • Evolutions do not correspond with soul color. An Eevee can have a green soul and become a Glaceon, for example.

Yellow Headcanons:

  • They decided that the disappearance of other Eeveelutions wasn’t just a coincidence. Aware of the history of the monsters, they trudged up the mountain in search for the truth.
  • They ‘borrowed’ the gun for their quest, in case their hunch about monsters killing their kind was correct.
  • The ‘mon-made gun had special properties, either allowing the use of Bullet Seed or allowing the wielder to manifest their own power to shoot out (ie; electric bullets or electricity-charged bullets)
  • …they never used a gun before in their life. Or at the very least, they were very inexperienced.
  • After falling into the underground, they usually chose to “threaten” their encounters with the gun.
  • In reality they were terrified of the monsters, but chose to keep a strong facade.
  • In the beginning, whenever they attempted to shoot, they missed quite a few times. Eventually they finally landed their first hit. It felt strange for them, but they held on to the belief that they were acting out of self-defense as well as justice for the fallen.
  • They were VERY suspicious of Toriel, believing she had underlying intentions. However, they went along with her in order to get information.
  • Toriel’s kindness unnerved them. But in time they decided that she was being genuine, especially after picking up her sorrow as she explained what had happened to the other Eeveelutions.
  • Justice drove them to want to face Asgore. Though Toriel was heavily against it, they were determined to challenge the king and make him see the wrong in stealing souls. They had to paralyze Toriel to prevent her from stopping them before rushing out of the Ruins.
  • Their journey gradually made them aim more accurately, although they only injured enough to progress.
  • By the time they made it to Waterfall, their resolve faltered upon understanding the monsters’ side of the story. The Jolteon had a sort of internal crisis, trying to figure out whose justice was more justified; theirs or the King’s.
  • While travelling through Waterfall, they accidentally killed a monster and was stricken with horror as they watched them turn to dust.
  • In that moment, losing the desire to go about things violently, they attempted to throw their gun away at the Garbage Dump. There, however, they were ambushed and struck down.
